The process for creating this work must've been long and very precise. I think the artist was influenced by the world around us everything in this painting looks deformed yet you can still make out what it is supposed to resemble. The artist use a lot of shapes and lines to create objects in the painting. There's a lot of shadings done in this painting. The artist also used just black-and-white, while creating a dark and mysterious perception. This paiting resembles a powerful antiwar painting in history. This was painted to represent outrage over the Nazis bombing northern Spain. This painting became an international symbol of genocide during the war time. The painting is in black-and-white because the artist wanted the veiwers to dig deep and find the meaning rather than looking at something with lots of color. You can see the terror in everyone's eyes in the painting. A couple even look as if the could be ghost coming out of bodies. This painting is truly a good representation of a massacre.
